District Elections

Below are the timelines and legal requirements for the District’s Board of Directors Elections pursuant to House Bill 305, Section 2051.152.

• President:  Walter Berry, Term until May 2026
• Vice President: Cassandra Brown, Term until May 2028
• Secretary: Adrian Bustillos, Term until May 2026
• Treasurer: Stephen Reimund, Term until May 2026
• Asst. Secretary: Phyllis Coleman, Term until May 2028

The location(s) of the election will be posted upon determination. The election shall be conducted at the polling places established by Williamson County to serve the county’s regular election precincts within the District, as required by Sections 42.0621 and 43.004 of the Texas Election Code. Similar to its most recent prior election, the District anticipates that Williamson County will authorize voters to vote at the voting locations established by Williamson County.

The following information related to the District’s elections for members of the Board of Directors is being posted by the District pursuant to Section 2051.201 of the Texas Government Code The date and location of the next election for members of the Board of Directors of the District:

Elections for directors of the District are conducted on the May uniform election date in even-numbered years.

The election shall be conducted at the polling places established by Williamson County to serve the county’s regular election precincts within the District, as required by Sections 42.0621 and 43.004 of the Texas Election Code.  Similar to its most recent prior election, the District anticipates that Williamson County will authorize voters to vote at the voting locations established by Williamson County.

The deadline for filing the application for a place on the ballot is 78 days prior to the election.  For the May 2, 2026, director election, the deadline for filing the application for a place on the ballot will be Friday, February 13, 2026.  The deadline for write-in candidates is 74 days before the election.  For the May 2, 2026, director election, the deadline for write-in candidates is Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

In order to be qualified to serve as a director of any special purpose district, Section 54.102 of the Texas Water Code requires that a person be:

1.  A resident of the state of Texas.
2. A land owner subject to taxation within the District or be a qualified voter in the District, and
3. Be at least 18 years of age.

To run for election to the District’s Board of Directors, a person must file an application for a place on the ballot. Applications for a place on the ballot may be obtained from the District’s Agent for the Election, Coats Rose, whose offices are located at 2700 Via Fortuna, Terrace 2, Suite 350, Austin, TX 78746, or downloaded https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/2-21f.pdfhere, from the Secretary of State’s website. El Distrito publica la siguiente información relacionada con las elecciones del Distrito para miembros de la Junta Directiva en virtud de la Sección 2051.201 del Código de Gobierno de Texas 

1. La fecha y la ubicación de la siguiente elección de miembros de la Junta Directiva del Distrito: 

Las elecciones para directores del Distrito se realizan en la fecha de elección uniforme de mayo en años pares.  Por consiguiente, la siguiente elección de miembros de la Junta Directiva del Distrito se realizará el primer sábado de mayo de 2026, que es el 2 de mayo de 2026.

Se celebrará la elección en los lugares de votación establecidos por el Condado de Williamson para servir al o a los precintos electorales habituales del o de los condados dentro del Distrito, según lo exigen las Secciones 42.0621 y 43.004 del Código Electoral de Texas.  Similar a su elección anterior más reciente, el Distrito prevé que el Condado de Williamson autorizará a los votantes a votar en los lugares de votación establecidos por el Condado de Williamson.

Para cumplir con los requisitos para desempeñarse como un director de un distrito de servicios públicos municipales, la Sección 54.102 del Código de Agua de Texas requiere que una persona (1) sea residente del estado; (2) sea dueña de terreno sujeto a impuestos en el Distrito o votante habilitada del Distrito; y (3) tenga al menos 18 años de edad.

Una persona que desee ser candidata en la elección de directores debe completar y presentar oportunamente una solicitud para obtener un lugar en la boleta de votación para la elección.  Las solicitudes para obtener un lugar en la boleta de votación pueden conseguirse a través del Agente del Distrito para la elección, Coats Rose, cuyas oficinas se encuentran en Coats Rose whose offices are located at Terrace 2, 2700 Via Fortuna, Suite 350, Austin, Texas 78746 o pueden ser descargadas e impresas desde el sitio web de la Secretaría de Estado (https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/index.shtml).

La fecha límite para presentación de la solicitud de un lugar en la boleta de votación es 78 días antes de la elección.  Para la elección de directores del 2 de mayo de 2026, la fecha límite para presentación de la solicitud de un lugar en la boleta de votación será el viernes 13 de febrero de 2026.  La fecha límite para los candidatos por escrito es 74 días antes de la elección.  Para la elección de directores del 2 de mayo de 2026, la fecha límite para candidatos por escrito es el martes 17 de febrero de 2026.
