City of Round Rock Utilities
The City of Round Rock Utilities ensures that district residents have water and wastewater services. In addition, all billing and connection/disconnections are handled through Round Rock staff.
The Utilities and Environmental Services Department is committed to providing customers with water that is safe to drink, readily available, and of excellent quality. Customer service representatives are available Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer your questions by email or at (512 ) 218-5460
New Customers
To set up a utility account, a https://www.roundrocktexas.gov/city-departments/utility-billing/connect-service/connect-new-service-application/New Residential Service Application must be completed online through the Round Rock new service page.
Connection Fees and Deposits will be reflected on the first month’s bill. When registering for a new service, a $25 connection fee, along with a https://www.roundrocktexas.gov/city-departments/utility-billing/water-sewer-and-garbage-rates/#otherfeesmeter deposit is required. Deposits are dependent on the size of the meter, however, standard residential meters are 5/8 inch.
Deposits are returned to the consumer when service is voluntarily canceled and any unpaid charges are settled. Additionally, deposits may be returned after 12 consecutive months of satisfactory payment history.
Payment Methods
Online – You can make a one-time payment or set up auto-pay through the RRTX Water Residential Portal. Phone – toll-free number at 1-855-894-2392 Online Banking – wire transfer Deposit Box – a 24-hour dropbox is located at the corner of Bagdad Avenue and Sheppard Street at City Hall as well as at 221 East Main Street. Only checks and money orders are accepted at these locations. Lobby or Walk-in – at City Hall, 221 East Main Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cash payments are accepted. Regular Mail – Mail to Utility Billing, 221 E. Main Street, Round Rock, Texas, 78664.
Service Termination
Service will be disconnected if payment is not received within 14 days of the bill due date. To restore service on the same day, any past due balances, plus a $75 reconnect fee, must be paid by 4:30 p.m. Next day service is charged a $50 reconnect fee. Payments made after the 16th day will incur a late fee of 10% of the past due balance or $2.50, whichever is greater.
